eCommerce Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on eCommerce Manager with a strategic mind and successful experience in managing and growing an eCommerce platform. You will manage the company website and will report to the Chief Marketing Officer, being responsible and accountable for sales growth.

This will be achieved partly through keeping our current database engaged with content that will drive them to purchase, but also working closely with the Marketing team to drive brand awareness and new customer acquisition. In this role, you have to be prepared to get involved with various parts of the business and be adaptive to change.

We have just relaunched our site onto a new Magento 2 platform, so we are looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running, growing this new platform to its full potential by managing both the day-to-day trading of the site and the upcoming phases of upgrades that are scheduled throughout the year (e.g. launching a loyalty programme).

The Must-Haves

  • 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience managing all elements of an eCommerce platform – ideally Magento 2.
  • Email campaign management – ideally with MailChimp or Ometria.
  • Eternal agency management, including PPC, Affiliates, Web Developers and Designers.
  • Understanding of paid-for search marketing tools: Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook & Instagram performance marketing.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Google Analytics and experience in using the data to come up with action plans based on consumer behaviour, with the goal of driving KPIs.
  • Knowledge and experience working with payment gateways Stripe and PayPal.
  • Basic HTML skills required. CSS and basic Photoshop desirable.
  • Creation and execution of campaign concepts for digital marketing calendars.
  • Ability to adapt ideas and concepts to specific brand guidelines while remaining open to feedback.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with agile project management desirable.
  • Experience with luxury high-end brands.
  • Excellent attention to detail.


Responsibilities

  • Setting and achieving Sarah Chapman direct website revenue targets, ensuring there is significant YoY growth.
  • Team management; you will have the opportunity to recruit and build a world class eCommerce team to drive the business.
  • Weekly top-line reporting of KPIs to management team and monthly in-depth reporting to brand owner and FD.
  • Setting expenditure budget for Sarah Chapman direct website across all areas of digital marketing and investment in new tools and equipment to drive sales.
  • P&L management for Sarah Chapman direct website channel, identifying areas where expenditure could be reduced without reducing sales.
  • Experience building and optimising a best in class CRM programme.
  • Optimise the customer journey based on analytical data and ensure it is in-line with brand guidelines and UX best practice.
  • Strong use of evidence-driven analytics to influence future trading decisions both on-site and in emails.
  • Management of contracted Paid Search & Paid Social agencies and setting strategy of targeting campaigns.
  • Manage our IT provider to ensure all employee hardware and software requests are supported in a timely manner and we are working to best practice with respect to Cyber Security.
  • Manage Web Developers to deliver changes to the site that have been pre-agreed with brand owner.
  • Work closely with Marketing team to manage digital marketing campaigns to build brand awareness with new customers and encourage repurchase with existing.
  • Execute product selection and placement for email campaigns, brand collaborations, GWPs, online collections and special offers.
  • Work with Operations Manager to ensure stock holdings are in place for the channel and warehouse costings are kept in-line with budget.

eCommerce Assistant

We are looking for a dynamic individual with existing digital expertise to drive the online development of our brand via the global website at SarahChapman.com.

Working as part of a small team reporting directly into the eCommerce Manager, you will be providing critical support to the eCommerce function and helping to drive global sales in a fast-paced environment.

  • Liaise with internal marketing and communications teams to assist in developing integrated marketing campaigns for the brand
  • Ensure all launches are executed and merchandised in accordance with the marketing calendar and according to best practice online
  • Ensure timely send out of email marketing campaigns, working closely with the marketing team to ensure all communication is on brand
  • Regular reporting and analysis of digital performance against KPIs, suggesting improvements and identifying opportunities
  • Work with our web development agency to ensure all identified bugs are resolved in a timely manner
  • Manage our blogger outreach programme to ensure that the brand is gaining on-brand visibility online
  • Monitor our digital PR and regularly report on how online PR is contributing to the growth of the global website
  • Support our customer service team in monitoring and replying to customer queries during peak periods
  • Research online trends of the main beauty and non-beauty players and keep the team informed of key insigh
  • Work with approved online retailers to provide support and new product information.
  • Day to day management of all website content
  • Manage Sarah Chapman domains, ensuring renewals of already-owned domains are actioned and new domains are purchased based on business needs
  • Administrative or other marketing support to assist with the efficient running of the department, as and when required
