Can the Meso-Melt Infusion System be used on sensitive or eczema-/rosacea-prone skin?
We would not recommend using the Meso-Melt Infusion System if your skin is prone to eczema or rosacea. The stimulation caused by the needles creates heat, which can trigger inflammatory skin conditions.
Is the Meso-Melt Infusion System suitable for use during pregnancy?
Yes, you can use the system whilst pregnant. However, bear in mind that your skin might be drier and more sensitive during this time – we recommend keeping our 3D Moisture Infusion mask in the fridge, and applying it straight after microneedling for an instant shot of cooling, soothing hydration.
Can I use the system if I’m suffering from acne or a breakout?
We would not recommend using the device on any new, inflamed, or fluid-filled blemishes. However, once the blemish is fading, using the roller over the area will help to accelerate the healing process and reduce any dark marks left behind.
Can I microneedle around the eyes and lips?
Yes, our Meso-Melt Infusion System can be used around the orbital area (avoiding the waterline and the eye lids) and it can be used on the lower and upper lip-line – it will help to firm and re-densify the thin, delicate skin in these areas.
After applying the serum, how long should I roll for before the needles dissolve?
There is no need to worry about specific timings for this – the needles will begin to dissolve on contact with the serum; simply use the roller until all of the needles have dissolved.
Do the needles dissolve more slowly on drier skins?
Your complexion’s condition should not make a noticeable difference to the rate at which the needles dissolve – this will largely be governed by how much serum they come into contact with. However drier skin may absorb the serum more quickly. Ultimately, we suggest to leave the serum on until it feels tacky on the skin, not wet, and to then start rolling again.
What is the plastic section on the end of each needling tip in the refill?
These are moisture guards – they prevent any moisture from entering the packaging, so the efficacy of the needling tip is protected. Simply remove and dispose of them before you attach the needling tip.
Can the Pro Hydro-Mist Steamer and Meso-Melt Infusion System be used together?
Yes, you can use our Pro Hydro-Mist Steamer to purify and decongest the skin before you microneedle. This will also enable the Pep8 Stem Cell Serum and needling tip actives to penetrate deeper into the skin. However, you must make sure your skin is completely dry after steaming and before using the Meso-Melt Infusion System. Please note due to each treatment, that skin will appear red.
What is the recommended timeframe between using the original set and the refill?
You can start using the Meso-Melt Infusion System Refill one week (or longer) after finishing your original set.
How often can I use the refill?
We recommend you use the refill set once a week for three weeks. You can continue to use the Meso-Melt Infusion System treatment on an on-going basis, if you would like.
Are the single-use needling tips and their packaging recyclable?
Only the outer box can currently be placed in domestic recycling. We are working hard towards making all of our products as environmentally conscious as possible, which may include updating this in the future. We will soon be introducing a TerraCycle box in our Skinesis Clinic, so you can recycle the box and any internal packaging, with us.
