C2 is a daily serum that helps improve dullness and texture caused by environmental stress, revealing a brighter and more even complexion. Apply it in the morning and/or in the evening after cleansing and allow it to absorb before following with eye cream, moisturiser and SPF (AM).
If your skin is prone to sensitivity and/or you haven’t used vitamin C-based skincare before, we recommend starting with C1 and taking a phased approach. Begin with a biweekly application, and monitor how your skin reacts before gradually increasing the frequency.
Once your skin has adjusted to C1 and is tolerating it well, you can consider stepping up to C2 for a more potent dose of vitamin C and enhanced brightening benefits.
If you’ve been diagnosed with a skin condition such as eczema, rosacea, or contact dermatitis, we strongly advise consulting with your doctor or dermatologist before introducing any active ingredients into your routine.
Yes, like all Sarah Chapman formulas, C2 is 100% cruelty-free. It’s also vegan and free of SLES, SLS and petrolatum/paraffin/mineral oil.
C2 is specially formulated to help minimise signs of pigmentation – including dark spots and an uneven skin tone – while addressing dullness and texture for a brighter and more uniform complexion.
Applying SPF during the day is essential, especially when using active ingredients like vitamin C. The expert combination of vitamin C and SPF also boosts UV protection to help prevent sun-induced skin damage, which can compromise skin health and lead to premature ageing. For SPF, we recommend using our tinted or invisible Skin Insurance face sunscreen.
Yes, C1’s carton, lid and bottle are fully recyclable and easy to dispose of after use.

Love it!!
I’m a long-time fan of Sarah Chapman – I absolutely love everything I’ve tried so far. Most recently, I added the C2 Vitamin C Power 2 Serum to my daily routine, and it’s quickly become another favourite.
As I had just placed a larger order not long ago, this time I only went for two smaller items – the C2 Serum and Skin Insurance SPF 50+ Tinted – both of which were conveniently on sale.
Since I live in Berlin and the products are shipped from the UK, I’m mindful of the carbon footprint of international orders. I was hoping that, given the small size of this shipment, it would arrive with minimal packaging. To my surprise, the parcel was disproportionately large for its contents.

While I appreciate the care and elegance in the presentation, this level of packaging – especially for such small items – felt excessive and disheartening from an environmental perspective.
I believe many Sarah Chapman customers, myself included, are conscious consumers who value clean, high-quality formulations and would welcome a more eco-friendly fulfilment approach. Reducing packaging and avoiding plastic fillers would make a real difference – and would encourage me to order more often, without hesitation.
